"The insurance they gave me doesn’t cover my meds, so they told me I should just soak in the reservoir a few times a week."

A new study shows that water supplies to at least 41 million Americans are contaminated with prescription drugs ranging from mood stabilizers to epilepsy medication. Interestingly, the specific drugs found in various regions seem to encourage local stereotypes. In Georgia they found cholesterol and heart medication, in Southern California they found anti-anxiety medication and mood stabilizers, and in DC, the meds were not disclosed. Then up in San Francisco they found the water was contaminated with sex hormones. Yes, really, artificial sex hormones are so prevalent in the Bay Area that they have permeated into the groundwater. You go… girl?
